Regrouping time

These early months of the year are the slow season in terms of art shows and markets, which of course makes this an ideal time to get cracking on building up inventory for later in the year.

You can expect to see more critter candles and bud vases. Earlier in the year, ambystoma mexicanum (axolotl) was having a moment, then capybaras came along, with pygmy hippos and emperor penguins competing for attention.

It will be intersting to see what form of cute creatures have their 15 minutes of fame in 2025. Folks like them, and so do I. I may have maxed out on my seed pod/flower vases. Those went like hotcakes early on, but seem to have slowed in sales. Still, there are several on offer at The Dragon’s Whistle in Corvallis.
